just a story

My Cute Little Story:

Once upon a time there were two sisters. They never really ever got along and they were always fighting about clothes or shoes or whatever girls fight about. Well, the older sister gets married and gets whisked away by her pransome hince (some of you will get that <). Anywho, the younger sister decides to be very brave and try something that is out of her box I guess you could say. She's actually really quite fantastic at it so it isn't really "out of her box". But she decided to try out to be a cheerleader.
The older sister decided to go support the younger sister and watch. And oh freakin boy. The older sister could barely hold back tears watching the younger sister. She was FANTASTIC! The younger sister was doing double backhand spring flip or something fancy like that and the older sister just sat back and almost cried. She's crying now though.

Yeah, that's me. And my amazing little sis is the one that tried out for cheer. Unfortunately, she didn't make it. (Their loss, right?) But I have never been so proud of anyone in my whole entire life! For reallzys. Like, I seriously could barely hold back tears the whole time watching her. She is amazing!

This post though is just to let her (and the rest of the world) how proud I am of her. I mean, I tried out for things  in high school but they were usually things I knew I would make such as swim. Everyone makes the swim team! (: But she totally just went out of the box and tried out for something new and I couldn't be more proud. She went out there and kicked some trash and did her cool backhand spring tuck things and she just amazes me. But I've been thinking about a quote ever since I found out she didn't make it. I'm not sure if someone said this or something similar but it has been going in my head over and over again.

"Sometimes the Lord doesn't always give us what we want, but sometimes what we need."

More than anything in the world I wanted her to make that squad. She deserves it. She is amazing at it. But I guess the Lord has something in store for her that will help her learn things a different way.

Anyways, end of story. I am a very proud sister tonight and I love her SO much!
P.S. I will post this when I have my camera! (:
